What is 1 for 50?

1 for 50 is a collaborative training and networking initiative born focused on: equipping ONE children’s outreach and discipleship leader for every 50 children in churches and communities around the world.

Is this really possible?

To train 50 million leaders means equipping only three out of every 100 Christians for ministry to children. We believe this is possible as each local church catches a vision to reach and disciple children and trains people to do it well.

At its core, 1 for 50 is still about the ONE: one Savior, loved by one children’s leader, guiding one child at a time to love and obey Jesus wholeheartedly.

Why Children? Why Now?

• Children are strategic

  • Over 2.2 billion children live on our planet.
  • They comprise nearly 50% of the population in our world’s most unreached areas.
  • 84% of people who come to Christ do so between the ages of 4 and 14, making this “4/14 Window” the most fruitful harvest field!
  • They are best at bringing their friends and families to Christ, too.

• Children are needy

  • At least 2/3 do not know Christ at all.
  • At least 2/3 are “at risk.”

• This is a unique moment in history

  • There has never before been a time in history with so many believers at the global and local church levels, ready and waiting to do their part.

The best people to help nurture, reach, and disciple these children are those of us who live in their community, speak their language, and can have ongoing relationship with them as they grow in faith.

Catch a vision for lasting ministry to children

Many children are already learning about Jesus in our churches and Sunday schools. But not ALL are choosing to follow Jesus after we grow up.  The 1 for 50 dream is for LASTING ministry to children, helping people as they are:
